Ski Weather — Canadian Resorts

Most hills open between late November and mid-December and close in April. At high resorts in the Rockies and the Coast Mountains the season often runs into May: Sunshine Village is usually among the last to close.

Coastal resorts such as Whistler, Cypress and Mount Washington get heavy, wet Pacific snow and swing close to freezing; the Interior and the Rockies are colder and drier; resorts in Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada depend more on snowmaking between storms. We do not measure snow depth — check the resort's own snow report for base depth and lift status.
