Hurricanes and Canada

By the time most tropical storms reach Atlantic Canada they have become post-tropical, but they can still bring damaging wind, heavy rain and storm surge, as Fiona did in 2022. The Canadian Hurricane Centre issues bulletins when a storm threatens Canadian land or waters, and Environment Canada watches and warnings follow for the areas at risk.
