Live Weather Radar — Canada

Environment Canada operates 32 dual-polarization radars, which can tell rain from snow, hail and freezing rain and reach about 240 km each. Coverage is densest in the south; the North and some mountain valleys in British Columbia are out of range or blocked by terrain.

Near the border the composite also uses US radars. Echoes are precipitation in the air, so light returns on a dry afternoon may not reach the ground. For warnings, see weather alerts.
